SOME SUGGESTED LINE DANCE ETIQUETTE

Home | Beginners | Dance List | Venues | Links

Probably obvious to most people, but....
  •  Don't stay on the floor to talk, leave the space for dancers
  •  If you like to indulge in extra turns, be mindful of other (perhaps more sedate) dancers nearby
  •  Don't start an alternative dance unless there's room and it's not disruptive to the majority
  •  If there are partner dancers about, leave the outside lane clear for them
  •  Partner dancers should go around in an anti-clockwise direction
  •  On a crowded floor take small steps and watch out for collisions
  •  Apologise if you bump into someone - even if it's not your fault
  •  Start another line rather than join one that is already over-populated
  •  If a dance has already started join from the edge of the floor - don't barge into the middle
  •  Everyone was a beginner once - help others if you can
